Small Group Ministry

"Together we laugh, we cry, we study and learn, we pray and search.  We are a group of dedicated people who are growing closer to the Lord and to each other, earnestly seeking God's plan for our lives." -Small Group Attendee

The Vision

Small Groups provide:

  • A network for pastoral care, fellowship, and interaction in  a small group setting.
  • An avenue for worship, study of the Word and accountability to one another.
  • A place where our gifts can be developed and used to reach out and meet the needs of others around us.

Ministry Overview

There is not a set or mandatory format for the meetings. Small Group may include any combination of the following:

  1. Icebreakers and games
  2. Worship and testimonies
  3. Teaching
  4. Discussion and questions
  5. Prayer and ministry
  6. Food and Fellowship
  7. Field trips, such as, attending a special service at another church, joining with another Small Group, going to a restaurant, having a picnic, etc.

Leaders plan the meetings according to needs of the people in their group. Each leader has freedom in choosing and presenting a subject or series of teachings. The teachings are designed to give practical application for daily living and build stability into one’s relationship with God and others. Small Group is a time of growth and challenge, as well as refreshing and fun. Small Groups meet at various times and locations throughout the month. Please call the Small Group leader to confirm the place and time of the meeting you desire to attend. When not sure where to attend, visit several groups (listed below) or discuss your choice with a Small Group leader. If you are interested in leading or assisting in the Small Group Ministry, please contact Pastor Donna Ryan.
