...for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; |

About LWTC |
|
Living Word Training Center was birthed in September 1985 as a result of a vision burning in the hearts of Brother Emma and Sister Chinyere Emma Okorie. The desire to train and equip believers with the Word of God for the work of Ministry became a reality as classes began at 128 Aba/Owerri Road, Aba, Nigeria with Brother Bruce Webster as the first Dean. Now, 18 years later, from just one center, the school has increased to over 20 centers in different cities throughout Nigeria, the United States of America and England. |

Teachers |
|
Here at Living Word Training Center, Jesus Christ has raised up various ministers in the five-fold ministry offices who take time to equip believers for the work of ministry. Through a vast, balanced Bible based curriculum, students are guided to apply God’s word to their personal lives and ministry. They are also taught to overflow into the lives of others by becoming role models in obedience to Paul’s injunction to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”.

| Students |
| The school is inter-denominational and non-discriminatory. In a typical classroom there may be a medical doctor, a housewife, a bricklayer and a school teacher. The curriculum is tailored to accommodate all who are willing to attend part or full time. It gives Christians an opportunity to meet and interact with people of other denominations and cultural backgrounds. The classes are highly participatory as student and instructor alike freely share personal experiences. In this way, some degree of informality, which has greatly encouraged openness, trust and friendship, has been achieved. Lives continue to be changed while many more are challenged. |
| The Program |
| The program consists of studies and related experience offered in courses that are six weeks in length. One six-week period is called a session. There are six sessions in each school year. Each course meets once each week for two hours. A worship period not exceeding thirty minutes precedes each class. Classes will be offered on various days and times. A student may enroll in one or two classes each session. Students are encouraged to make a commitment to take at least one course each session of the school year. All students are required to begin with the Foundation Course to become in the Lord Jesus Christ and to develop the Foundations for ministry. Generally, students will finish the Foundation courses in eighteen months and Ministry courses in an additional eighteen months. |
